Marc Isolda Photography
August Art Show at the Library
Marc Isolda was born in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. and grew up in Westport, Ct. He served in Viet Nam and was awarded the Purple Heart. When he returned to the states he completed his studies at college.
Marc's love of photography began when he was a child. His neighbor, who was editor on the city desk for UPI handed him an Exakta SLR, and taught him the basics of photography and photo developing. From 1980 through 1985 he photographed various jobs for the firms of motorcycle manufacturers: BMW, Moto Guzzi, La Verda, and Ducati. He also photographed the quarterlies and annual reports for Remington and Colt, and did work for Revlon and Max Factor.
His love for photography and his extensive education in engineering and physics blossomed into a full time business of camera, microscope, and computer repair. His photographic skills have found a home through the formation of an artist's consortium with Alisyn Hamilton, Walter Von Egidy, and Cynthia O'Connor. This resulted in the company A THOUSAND WORDS.
Marc currently resides in Bridgewater, where he is active as an EMT. He also sits on the Zoning Board of Appeals.
