Candlewood Camera Club January 2009
The Candlewood Camera Club is a group of photo enthusiasts from the greater Danbury area whose club is devoted to fostering photography as a hobby, art or vocation, and by freely sharing our knowledge and experience. The Club meets twice a month at the VFW Hall in Danbury, 5 Byron St., between Rte. 6 (Newtown Rd.) and Triangle St., just over 1 mile west of WalMart and the Holiday Inn in Danbury. The first meeting of each month, on the 2nd Tuesday, is set aside for a competition between members' color slides and prints, including digital, color, or black and white. The second meeting, on the 4th Tuesday of the month, varies greatly each month, ranging from instructional sessions, to field trips, to group workshops. The Candlewood Camera Club was founded in 1948 and is a member of the New England Camera Club Council and the Connecticut Association of Photographers, and actively participates in programs and competitions in these organizations.
